imagine a 2008 olympics without the US? will it still be considered a world games event? i don't think so. the US is a sporting power, probably the best in most of the sports out there (correct me if i'm wrong, don't have facts for this), and a lot will be hunting american heads in any sporting event. a gold medal without an american participating (specially if the defending gold medalist is an American) is not as sweet a victory as it is if an american participated. and do you seriously think that if such a motion is filed and is granted by the IOC, do you think the US will allow that? bah, so much for being the only superpower if they'll succumb to that.

dead boring, so different from the book. it wasn't able to show viewers the true magical features of alagaesia (the setting for non-readers). it lacked so many details that if i haven't read the book, i'm sure i would have said its a crap,lame, copycat of the more popular fantasy adventure stories out there. so guys, don't watch it, just read the book. the story was so twisted it destroyed the sequencing and suspense that the book originally gave to readers.

they should release a new movie.. ff ac was damn amazing, graphics-wise

if you read the book first before watching the flick, you'd probably feel there were things that were left unexplained.. i suggest just read the book, its far better..

with regards to it being fiction, the story itself in the davinci code is. but the main theory of the book with regards to Jesus and Mary Magdalene being married, there have been studies made to support this theory, however it is still unproven..and whatever the conclusion might be, i'm sure and i'll bet my neck that the church will call it blasphemous..

i'm a download freak (considering i'm on dial-up), a firewall is essential. my friend once got hacked and toyed with his emails, he used mcafee to block the bastard. problem solved. firewall is useful if you know how to use em. a bit of Ram used by a firewall is worth the protection it can give.

i work in a bank, and i can tell you this..banking institutions wherever it may be, are gearing us all up exactly for cash-less transactions, it is much more convenient and hassle-free (except for a few bugs still present in the system).. although i doubt that cash will be extinct in the near future. imagine paying all your bills via the internet or by phone (already possible), giving allowance to your kids via SMS..
